Today was an absolutely beautiful day! The weather was so warm, the sun was so warm, it seemed like summer. There were green fields here and there, and along the highway some green grass was growing. I'm sure that is no news to people from this area, but to someone used to nothing but snow for six months, this is news! Our afternoon was marred by a big accident on I 95 between a trailer truck and a car. One person was killed and the traffic stopped for miles for about two hours. It was interesting to see how people left their cars, talked to each other, and walked around while they waited. There was a couple from New Hampshire ahead of us who were headed to Florida also. We are in Savannah tonight, staying inside the city, but arrived too late to get a chance to visit the old parts of the city. Today has been buffet day as we had lunch at Shoneys and found a dinner buffet next door to the hotel. On to Florida tomorrow!

Almost there, how exciting to be able to spend a whole month in the sun and sand!! Matthew, the kids and I arrived home in the wee hours this morning after spending the evening with PJ, Laila and Colby. We were only with Bob and Gina for a couple of days but how spoiled by the weather we were. No jackets..sweatshirts only, 63 degrees one day! When we hit home and opened the van door we were met by bitterly cold temps!!
ReplyDeleteTake pictures of the sun and it's warmth...we need it!!
Thinking of you daily,
Jo
